February 16, 2010 - TheSourceHub conducted an online survey of 229 State Chamber members on the topic of Oklahoma’s workers’ compensation system.  We asked Oklahoma business owners to tell us in their own words how they view Oklahoma’s workers’ compensation system and its impact on their businesses.  Sixty-four Oklahoma business owners/operators gave permission for news organizations  to use their responses.  Click on the link below to view and download these individual responses.

• Three out of four (75%) Oklahoma business owners surveyed believe Oklahoma's workers’ compensation system imposes costs on businesses that hurt job growth.
• Eighty-two percent of Oklahoma business owners surveyed say they would support the Oklahoma State Legislature passing significant workers’ compensation reform.
• Two out of three (66%) State Chamber members who took the survey say they would support the Oklahoma State Legislature passing workers’ compensation reform which includes abolishing the current court system and changing to an administrative system.
• Seventy-seven percent of Oklahoma business owners surveyed say they will support candidates for public office that are willing to vote for strong workers’ compensation reform.
• State Chamber members surveyed feel Oklahoma’s workers’ compensation system is the second most important issue facing them today in terms of importance to the success of their businesses – second only to “access to a skilled workforce.”
